About Kay

After a decade in the fashion industry, Kay followed a lifelong dream of becoming an illustrator, building a successful creative career working with leading publishers, brands and organisations. Her illustration work has featured in bestselling books, national publications, branding projects and the greeting card industry, with clients including Penguin Random House, Macmillan Publishers, the NHS and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Today, Kay’s primary focus is her ceramic practice, where she creates distinctive hand-built pieces from her studio in Brighton. Each piece is individually handmade and hand-painted by Kay, giving every collection its own character and ensuring no two pieces are ever exactly the same.

Kay creates thoughtful ceramic pieces inspired by folklore, coastal living and the natural beauty of East Sussex. Drawing influence from Scandinavian design and her time living in Sweden, her work balances warmth, storytelling and charm with clean forms and carefully considered details.

Kay’s ceramics are designed to be treasured, thoughtful, collectible pieces that bring joy, warmth and personality into the home.
